Soup Kitchen

The third Friday of the month is when St. Mary’s regularly provides meals and staff at the Most Blessed Trinity Soup Kitchen in Waukegan. Parish volunteers prepare the meals, welcome guests, and assist in the distribution of bagged diners for individuals to take home to other family members.

We would be grateful for donations of:

  • Individual packets of chips;

  • Granola bars;

  • Fruit - oranges, tangerines, or apples;

  • Individual packets of cookies or other treats;

  • Indiviual serving packages of cereal;

  • Mini bottles of water;

  • Shelf stable milk boxes;

  • and toiletries such as toilet paper, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.

We will purchase other items to complete the meal and serve the guests.  Donations can be brought to the Parish Center prior to 3:00 p.m. on the third Friday of each month. If you have questions or you need to make alternative arrangements for drop-off please call the Parsh Office at (847) 234-0205.
