2:00 p.m. Divine Mercy Chaplet

The Church celebrates Divine Mercy Sunday a week after we celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection from the dead on Easter Sunday. Divine Mercy Sunday is a feast of the Church. This year, the second Sunday of Easter or Sunday of Divine Mercy is on April 24.

Deacon Jack Herrmann will lead a recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet
2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 24
Please gather at the Divine Mercy Image that is outside the entrance to the Parish Center.

The Divine Mercy chaplet is a beautiful and powerful prayer. From St. Fraustina’s diary, “You will recite on the beads of the rosary, in the following manner: First of all, you will say one OUR FATHER and HAILY MARY and I BELIEVE IN GOD. Then on the OUR FATHER beads you will say the following words: ‘Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.’ On the HAIL MARY beads you will say the following words: ‘For the sake of His sorrowful Passion have mercy on us and on the whole world.’ In conclusion, three times you will recite these words: ‘Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.’” (Diary, 476) You can find information by following this link regarding how to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
